OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance, with expertise in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of mechanical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and schematics is highly desirable.
  • Welding skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with prior supervising experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritise tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to programmable logic controllers and schematics to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Execute welding tasks as required for repairs or installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
  • Supervise and train junior maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guest requests regarding maintenance concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.
