JOB SUMMARY:

Pentire Hotel is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Staff member to assist with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our hotel facilities. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and team. The ideal candidate is practical, service-oriented, and able to carry out a wide range of basic maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a general maintenance role is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or under supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physically fit to perform manual tasks, including lifting and climbing ladders.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts based on hotel demands.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, painting).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
  • Perform routine inspections and report any issues or hazards.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
  • Keep maintenance tools and areas organized and clean.
  • Monitor stock of supplies and inform supervisor when reordering is needed.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with hotel policies.
  • Support other departments with maintenance-related needs as required.
