POSITION TITLE: Night Auditor
DEPARTMENT: Hotel (Hotel Front Office, Hotel Tower IV Front Desk)
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H11—Non-Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key–Blue
REPORTS TO: Front Desk Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Handle end-of day bookkeeping and perform night audit for both hotels. Prepare and review the hotel management system for accuracy. Prepare and program group arrivals in LMS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø High school diploma or GED required
Ø One-year front desk experience required
Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Ø Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
Ø An eye for detail
Ø Strong organizational skills
Ø Ability to work independently
Ø Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ø Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ø Self-Starter; must work without close supervision
Ø Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ø Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Ø *Knowledge of LMS
Ø *Knowledge of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Employment policies

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Responsibilities

Ø Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Ø Perform guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible
Ø Review VIP classifications in the hotel management system for accuracy and correct incorrect entries
Ø Pre-register block reservations
Ø Verify upcoming group block for reservation accuracy.
Ø Input upcoming group information into the hotel property management system.
Ø Coordinate wholesaler program, assign rooms, and ensure that contractual obligations are met
Ø Process same day reservations and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures and selling strategies
Ø Reconcile suspense accounts
Ø Investigate and resolve out of balance accounts
Ø Cancel room reservations according to established procedures
Ø Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager
Ø Run all departmental reports throughout shift for system maintenance
Ø Check all arrivals daily
Ø Prepare for date roll by verifying unassigned, preregistered, on hold, and out of order rooms
Ø Reconcile movie reports nightly
Ø Post no-show revenue to no-show rooms nightly
Ø Verify guest ledger and manual override reports for accuracy
Ø Print cashiering reports and balance against daily paperwork and correct inaccuracies
Ø Print and verify the room’s revenue potential report for accuracy
Ø Prepare and organize the night audit packet to be delivered to accounting
Ø Process back to back reservations
Ø Use the over credit limit report to prevent out of balance accounts
Ø Prepare the PCW report for the night audit
Ø Print and verify the CSEVM report for accuracy
Ø Distribute night audit to Income Control nightly
Ø Prepare and distribute the daily passdown and flash reports
Ø Adhere to all regulatory, company, and departmental policies/procedures in an ethical manner
