Candlewood Suites by IHG – Mankato is an extended-stay hotel offering a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. As a Night Auditor, you will provide exceptional overnight service while balancing the day’s financial transactions to support smooth hotel operations.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Night Auditor oversees front desk responsibilities during the overnight shift and performs end-of-day accounting procedures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys quiet, focused work, can work independently, and is committed to guest satisfaction and accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior hotel or customer service experience preferred; night audit experience a plus
• Strong math and computer skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours
• Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus

• Greet and assist guests arriving or departing during overnight hours
• Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions and balance all daily reports
• Run and distribute daily reports for management and departments
• Process guest payments, adjustments, and folios accurately
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism
• Monitor property safety and security; perform regular property walks
• Ensure lobby and front desk areas are clean, quiet, and welcoming
• Communicate with day shift team about any special guest or maintenance issues
• Follow IHG brand standards, safety protocols, and cash handling policies
