OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our nights team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full time role working 10.45pm to 7.15am, 5 days from 7.

SKILLS

  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for effective guest interaction.
  • Previous experience in guest services or hospitality within a hotel setting is an advantage.
  • A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing excellent customer service is crucial.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that all guests experience an outstanding level of service during out-of-hours.
  • Ensuring that every guest experiences a safe visit, exceeding all expectations surrounding cleanliness.
  • Engage, build and develop relationships with late check-in guests, assessing their needs and flexing style and approach appropriately.
  • Ensuring all repeat guests, priority members and VIP’s receive recognition and appreciation.
  • Being attentive to all guests and looking for opportunities to up-sell and make recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Demonstrating a sales mentality to selling bedroom, M&E and F&B including making recommendations for guests to upgrade, dine in the restaurant and upgrade to breakfast.
  • Responding promptly to guest complaints and finding ways to turnaround any negative feedback.
  • Following SOPs to ensure consistent hospitality for all guests.
  • Keeping up to date with hotel facilities, promotions and the local market area, so as to be able to effectively assist guests.
  • Process and receive telephone or walk-in reservations accurately
  • Keeping up to date with the hotel’s sales strategy and promotions, passing on leads to the sales team.
  • Preparing and cooking menu items from the 24-hour menu, which will include food preparation, cooking, inventory management and maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
  • Complying with Food Hygiene regulations.
