JOB DESCRIPTION

The Redcastle Hotel currently require a full time Reception Supervisor.
Reception Supervisor is responsible for over-seeing the smooth operation of the front desk, ensuring excellent customer service and managing a team of receptionists. This includes tasks like greeting guests, handling inquiries, training staff and ensuring the reception area is well maintained.

Description:

  • Respond to telephone, email and in person queries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.
  • Overseeing Front Desk Operations, ensuring that all front desk tasks, including guest check-ins and outs, are handled smoothly.
  • Guest Relations – acting as the main point of contact for guest concerns, a front office supervisor resolves issues and ensures guest satisfactions. This includes handling complaints and accommodating special requests.
  • Staff Supervision & Training – responsible for training new employees and offering on-going support. They create and manage shift schedules, ensuring the desk is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Monitoring Reservations & Room Allocations – Ensuring that reservations are correctly processed and rooms are assigned efficiently.
  • Implementing Hotel Policies & Procedures – ensuring all front desk staff follow hotels policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work on one’s initiative
  • Ability to handle all customer queries in a professional manner – a front office supervisor should be aware of how to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy hotel environment
  • Cash handling and till reconciliation – ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Leadership abilities – supervisors must guide, motivate and manage their team effectively. This includes delegating tasks and providing ongoing support to team members.
  • Organisational skills – the front office supervisor must be highly organised to ensure that all front office tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise closely with front office manager for any other duties mentioned above
  • Full training provided

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry in a customer service role
  • Fluency in English Language
  • Excellent computer skills and organisational skills
  • As a supervisor, you will be a role model & leader for the team so must have strong communication skills & be approachable

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: €13.50 per hour - negotiable depending on experience
