HOTEL RECEPTIONIST – JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a professional and enthusiastic Hotel Receptionist to join our team at a well-established and reputable hotel.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Previous experience in hospitality or front-of-house roles is preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and procedures is advantageous
    Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship, Zero hours contract, Internship
    Contract length: 6 months
    Pay: Up to £12.44 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and check in guests with professionalism and warmth
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly and efficiently
  • Manage room reservations and assignments using the hotel’s booking system
  • Provide guests with information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the relevant departments or personnel
  • Support administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
  • Maintain a clean and presentable front desk area that reflects the hotel’s standards
  • Conduct room checks to ensure they meet quality standards before guest arrival
  • Assist with bar service when required
  • Respond to guest emails in a timely and courteous manner
