Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a receptionist to join our Front of House team at the St James Hotel. This opportunity is based on a casual agreement.
Our Hotel has 123 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant and 5 function rooms.
As a receptionist your role would include the following duties:
· Being responsible to cover all aspects of the reception desk which include welcoming guests, checking guests in and out, make reservations, dealing with different departments, promoting the hotel and maximising sales to a high standard.
· Ensure all guests complaints are handled appropriately, informing the Reception Manager when necessary
· Allocate rooms and issue appropriate keys
· Ensure that any updated or special notes/requests for the guests are documented and relayed to the relevant departments
· To produce high quality work within tight deadlines
· Ability to work effectively alone and to work as part of a team with a strong emphasis on supporting reception colleagues and other departments
· Demonstrate a working knowledge of all service and facilities of the hotel and effectively assist the hotel guests
· Build good relationships with regular accommodation bookers
· Shifts will vary between days, evenings and weekends on a casual agreement Monday- Sunday.
