Talbot Hotel Cork, part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for an experienced Reservationist.
Reporting into the Reservations Manager, the Reservationist will also assist reception, meetings & events in developing and maximising sales throughout the hotel. Taking telephone enquiries and reservations and inputting reservations into the in-house front office system. Previous experience in a similar role is essential for this important role. This is a full time role will set working hours Monday - Friday and Tuesday - Saturday

• Action all inquiries taken by telephone promptly and maintain a high standard of customer service whilst doing so.
• Ensuring a high standard of customer service in line with company expectations and company policy in relation to customer service
• Total product knowledge of all the Hotel services and facilities
• Confirm in writing to clients the details of their reservations with hotel terms and conditions
• Assist revenue, reception, meetings & events in developing and maximising sales in this busy vibrant hotel
• Ensure smooth operation of the shift, ensuring all company standards are met.
• Assist in compiling the yield-report, completing daily update report for head office and daily revenue reports, monitor daily room rate check reports and reservations by creation date
• Help maintain the reservations filing system, rates file and tour operator files
• Maximise room sales daily confirming the next day arrivals to ensure 100% occupancy at all times
• Assist the Front Office Reception, Revenue, Meetings & Events.
• Provide the Guest, at all times, with the highest levels of guest care and personal attention, where possible anticipating the guests needs and initiating actions to exceed expectations where possible and to ensure all guest needs are communicated to the team and to assist with relevant cover on the front desk as required.
