The Hotel —soon to be Garner by IHG —is looking for a confident and strategic Sales Manager to lead our commercial efforts. This is an exciting time to join as we transition to IHG.
This full-time role is a key position, operating under the expert management of Brightstar Hospitality Management, a UK-based company with a reputation for delivering excellence across its growing portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the sales strategy. You will lead business development efforts, focusing on securing corporate transient, business groups & MICE to drive revenue into the hotel. Your ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders will be essential for success.

THE PERSON

We are looking for someone who:
· Has proven experience in a hotel sales role within hospitality, specifically with corporate and MICE sales.
· Has a strong track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering results.
· Possesses excellent relationship management and communication skills.
· Can lead on site sales team.
· Is commercially savvy with an in-depth understanding of the UK hospitality market.
· Willing to travel – role may have extensive travel visiting clients
· Has proficiency in CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

· Sales Strategy: Lead the creation and delivery of the sales strategy for corporate, group, and MICE segments.
· Revenue Growth: Carry out projects and generate leads resulting in revenue growth within the business
· RFP Management: Respond to and manage all corporate RFPs through IHG
· Re-negotiation: Complete all re-negotiation and re-contracting of annual rate agreements to ensure that all contracts are in line with the hotels’ financial KPIs
· Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and conduct sales presentations.
· Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring excellent service and driving repeat business.
· Team: Support the hotel team, ensuring alignment between sales strategies and hotel operations.
· Market Awareness: Monitor competitor activities and stay up to date with market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
· Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare and present sales reports, track KPIs, and provide insight into performance, continuously looking for areas of improvement.
· Database accuracy: Conduct sales lead calls to potential new accounts and clients and ensuring all sales databases are kept accurate and up to date
