Description We are seeking a dependable, professional, and self-motivated Security Guard to join our hotel team. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safety and security of our guests, team members, hotel property, and assets while providing exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, good judgment, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in various situations. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct regular interior and exterior property patrols to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. Monitor all entrances, exits, parking lots, stairwells, hallways, and common areas. Check and secure doors, gates, and restricted-access areas. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, disturbances, suspicious activity, and noise complaints. Assist the Front Desk team with guest requests and minor guest service needs as appropriate. Document and report all incidents, accidents, safety concerns, and unusual activities accurately and thoroughly. Identify and report maintenance issues, including lighting outages, damaged equipment, safety hazards, and property concerns. Monitor parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and ensure guest safety. Assist in emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, evacuations, and severe weather events. Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor. Work collaboratively with hotel management and staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Assist with light property duties as needed, including transporting trash to dumpsters, monitoring public areas, and supporting operational needs. Complete detailed security logs and shift reports. Qualifications Previous security, law enforcement, military, hotel, or customer service experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer and report-writing skills preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance. Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and climb stairs for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
