Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for enforcing policies and procedures relating to the safety and security of people and property of the hotel, keeping an eye on building entrances and exits as well as building grounds, reporting violations, fire, accidents, theft, and vandalism, and helping with other day-to-day security issues.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
  • Education or previous experience as a Law Enforcement or Security Officer or other related security employment is an asset
  • Sask security license
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and is a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function effectively in stressful and/or critical situations
  • Customer service/team-oriented individual who is assertive, reliable and discrete with a high level of awareness
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with other stakeholders
  • Work nights 8 pm to 4:30 am
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Monitor building entrances and exits, conduct regular and lengthy security check patrols, and respond to security and safety incidents.
  • Ensure all security processes are followed and integrity is maintained
  • Document issues with daily security logs and reports.
  • Respond to questions, inquiries, and problems concerning security issues.
  • Assist with security risk assessments
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with other staff members and ensure a safe and secure work environment.
