As a Part Time Hotel Services Team Member at Crowne Plaza Hobart, you’ll be a helpful host, local expert, and proud brand ambassador. You’ll be trained across Front Office and Food & Beverage services, gaining experience in reception, concierge, reservations, and food delivery across the restaurant, bar, and room service. Working in a team that values excellence and individuality, you’ll respond to guest needs with professionalism and care – whether it’s valet, room service, or concierge support – ensuring every stay is memorable. Your day to day As a Hotel Services Team Member, you’ll greet guests warmly and assist with directions, amenities, or any immediate needs. You’ll support your teammates across departments including Front Office, Concierge and Food & Beverage at our premium Club Lounge, ensuring seamless service throughout the hotel. Your responsibilities will include managing guest accounts and billing, handling payments securely, and ensuring a smooth check-in and departure experience. You’ll listen to guest feedback with care and professionalism, promote IHG Rewards Club by enrolling new members and recognising loyal guests, and uphold brand standards to deliver a consistent and memorable experience. You’ll also comply with WH&S, HACCP, and crisis management policies, and stay informed about local events and hotel happenings so you can act as a knowledgeable neighbourhood host. What we need from you We’re seeking individuals who bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A strong interest in the hotel industry and/or experience in premium service or other high-level customer-focused environments. Proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional guest service. A service-oriented mindset, with resilience and flexibility. Previous experience in Restaurants, Bars and as a Barista. Hotel Front Office experience is not essential but favorable. Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and Australian driver’s licence. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and support colleagues as needed. Pride in presentation and professionalism—wearing your uniform with confidence. Be based in Hobart and available immediately, or relocating soon.
