HOURLY PAID LECTURER OPPORTUNITIES – BUSINESS (STRATEGY SPECIALISTS ONLY)

The University is seeking to appoint well-qualified and versatile Hourly Paid Lecturers in Business, with a particular interest in candidates who are strategy experts qualified to doctoral level.
This post represents an outstanding opportunity to teach across a range of Business, Leadership, and Management courses at Bishop Grosseteste University. Successful candidates will contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with opportunities to teach on apprenticeship and CMI-accredited programmes—experience in these areas would be advantageous.

We are especially keen to hear from applicants with:

• Doctoral-level qualifications in Business Strategy or closely related fields;
• A strong academic or professional background in strategic management;
• A passion for delivering high-quality, engaging teaching.

Please note:

• These are casual, hourly paid positions, and we are creating a pool of candidates. There is no guarantee of hours.

Minimum requirements:

• Right to work in the UK with no relevant work restrictions;
• An honours degree or equivalent professional qualification;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Relevant and/or recent industry or academic experience.

The University may appoint professional or industry experts, and where appropriate, academics from other institutions to deliver specific aspects of teaching. A DBS check and verification of professional membership may be required.

Rates of pay (from 1st August 2025):

• Standard Teaching Rate: £49.56/hour
• Placement & Work-based Learning Rate: £39.13/hour
• Marking/Non-contact Rate: £24.78/hour
