POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Looking for a highly motivated and experienced prostate cancer researcher with expertise in animal research and organoid culture.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Animal surgery, cell culture techniques, expertise in super-resolution microscopy, as well as experience in Next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Ph.D. in biology
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a hourly employee at VCU

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in prostate cancer research

Development of organoids from human and mouse tissues, characterization of organoids through high-throughput screening techniques, and handling and maintaining genetic models.
