Evidence of flexibility
1. Flexible to work all shifts (days, evenings, and nights), including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays.
2. Own Vehicle is required to get to and from job sites. Mileage policy applies.
3. Prepared to work Shifts which varies from a minimum of three (3) hours to a maximum of twelve (12) hours, depending on the facility placement needs.
4. Willing to take on assignments that are considered “urgent/last minute/early morning” (e.g. called for assignments within 2 hours or from the start of shift)
5. Required to work two (2) weekends per month (A “weekend” is defined as a shift covering the period from Friday at 3:00 PM to 7:30 AM on Monday). This we believe promotes a fair work-life balance.
6. Must already be in Canada and permitted to work in Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
When working for clients, a Cleaning Technician may sweep, mop and wipe the floors, disinfect surfaces, and scrub floors. These professionals shall be prepared to also vacuum carpets, Shampoo carpets, handle waste debris, and dispose of trash. Some other duties of the cleaning technician include:
1. Using rotating brushes and scrubbing machines to keep floors clean.
2. Using a commercial carpet cleaning machine to shampoo clean carpets.
3. Cleaning walls with sponge, solutions, and detergents
4. Performing floor-to-ceiling scrubs with vacuum cleaners
5. Providing upholstery and carpet cleaning services while performing all facilities/housekeeping duties, such as dusting ceiling vents, dusting off cobwebs from the furniture with dust brushes and shampooing.
6. Observe safety procedures when using cleaning equipment to avoid accidents.
7. Provide general janitorial services to clients within the scope of promoting and ensuring cleanliness.
8. Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly using the available NK4 Cleaning Plus Inc. forms, etc.
