Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

To supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure compliance standard and process. The coordinator will work alongside the HSE team to implement and maintain cleaning schedules across each area and ensure standards are maintained.
Assist the business with the management and distribution of workwear requests and PPE supplies across site, ensuring availability throughout.
The coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors ensuring that cleaning operations run smoothly and efficiently

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training mentor cleaning staff on correct cleaning techniques safety procedures and safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Where required, assist the cleaning team in completing regular and additional cleaning duties
  • Promote positive work environment and encourage teamwork amongst the housekeeping team
  • Management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies
  • Conduct regular and structured safety inspections across the site
  • Flexibility to meet with team members across all shift patterns
  • Collaborate with other team members to support overall cleanliness and organisation of the team
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment ordering as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Maintain stock levels of spill kits, first aid supplies, and eye wash stations
  • Periodic checks of firefighting equipment and routes
  • Use mechanical cleaning equipment (training to be provided)
  • Maintain and follow the site safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
    Hours: 38 per week to be worked flexibly in line with the needs of the business.
