At Artist Residence Penzance, we’re a 20-bedroom boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar with a laid-back, bohemian spirit. We’re on the lookout for a House Manager - someone who’s as comfortable leading the floor with a big smile as they are doing a cash-up, taking reservations, or making a great coffee.
The Role

This is a full-time position with a mix of shifts (7am–4pm or 2pm–close). As House Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the hotel:

• Hosting with warmth and creating a welcoming, buzzing atmosphere for guests.
• Running smooth FOH and bar shifts with confidence and charm.
• Supporting on reservations and ensuring smooth guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Driving sales naturally through great service and genuine engagement.
• Handling the practical side too – cash-ups, daily reports, ordering, and keeping standards high.
• Working independently at times while also leading and motivating the team.

About You

• Strong F&B background (bar, restaurant, maitre d’, host, or similar).
• Confident, charismatic, and always smiling - guests love being around you.
• Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
• A true all-rounder - equally happy serving drinks, hosting tables, or jumping on reservations.
• Sales-savvy, with the natural ability to create energy and encourage guests to stay for “one more.”
• Flexible and happy to cover a variety of shifts, including weekends.
