Working alongside our multidisciplinary team, House Managers oversee daily household operations, support client care and case management, mentor staff, and promote accountability, dignity, and respect. Guided by the highest ethical standards and a commitment to quality behavioral healthcare, House Managers play a vital role in helping clients reach their fullest potential. Summary The House Manager at SIR is responsible for performing advanced indirect and selected direct client care duties in support of the clients living skills program in a competent manner under the direction of the Operations Director. The House Manager provides general oversight of the housing environment and reports all environmental needs as it relates to supporting clients, to the operations director. The House Manager also conducts limited Case Management duties including but not limited to assessing, planning and facilitating care coordination to meet the client's individual needs. AGE/CLIENT POPULATION(S) SERVED Age of Client Population Served: Adult (18 & older) Population Served: Persons meeting DSM5 criteria for substance use disorders with or without cooccurring psychiatric illness, and psychiatric illness with or without substance use disorders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Household & Daily Routine Management Ensure clients are woken up by 6:30 a.m. Facilitate morning meetings/meditation and oversee daily chores Ensure clients maintain proper hygiene and dress appropriately Update daily client schedules, noting outside appointments and activities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized household environment Identify potential safety hazards and submit maintenance tickets as needed Oversee preparation for new clients moving into the residence Collect, supervise opening, and distribute client packages from the office Conduct shift pass-downs with support staff, including completion of shift report and Shift Task Checklist Medication & Health Support Coordinate with the Medical Services Department regarding medication refills, adherence, and changes Support clients in following prescribed medication schedules per policy Observe and document medication administration, reporting concerns to clinical staff Transportation & Scheduling Facilitate timely client transportation to appointments, meetings, group sessions, and activities as assigned Maintain the vehicle transportation binder and monitor maintenance issues Track client attendance at required external meetings Manage store runs, household errands, and related cash or credit card usage Leadership, Staff Development & Collaboration Collaborate with the team to support overall client care and ensure smooth daily operations Coordinate with staff regarding client pass requests and approval processes Assist with tasks alongside team members to achieve common household and client-related goals Monitor and report on client participation in household routines, chores, and scheduled activities Model professional, respectful, and goal-oriented behavior for both clients and staff Train, mentor, and coach new hires and support staff to ensure adherence to agency policies and quality standards Participate in staff meetings and trainings Meal Planning & Food Management Ensure necessary ingredients are listed and purchased; create grocery lists, and plan and prepare meal in collaboration with clients Track food and supply inventory, monitor food freshness, and re-order items as needed Track and manage weekly household food expenses with proper documentation Case Management Responsibilities Conduct client assessments to identify individual needs and coordinate resources Collaborate with the clinical team to review client level of care and determine appropriate timing for vocational or volunteer engagement Develop and support individualized client plans, including goal-setting and progress tracking Provide guidance and support to clients for behavioral challenges Requirements MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in the behavioral health field,preferred. Attainment of at least 21 years of age. A Health Screening with a negative TB Test Results. Current CPR/First Aid certification Driver’s License, or Government I.D. Food Handler Certificate Water Safety Certificate Should be experienced house manager or Mental Health Technician, preferably in the field of chemical dependency and/or behavioral health. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of industry standards as related to the position of House Manager. Basic knowledge of PC software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred. Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner Must possess a reading and writing level that provides for clear expression and/or understanding of assignments related to job description. Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
