Description
Maintain cleanliness of public space including the lobby, public restrooms, offices, elevators and stairways; Ensure Trapp Family Lodge’s high standards of cleanliness throughout public and guest spaces; Assist housekeeping staff in response to guest requests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Report to work at assigned, scheduled time and report to House Person Lead for daily tasks. 2. Thoroughly clean staff and public restrooms in Main Lodge and other buildings on property such as Gift Shop. Clean toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, windows and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, vacuums and/or cleaning agents by extending arms overhead, bending, walking, pushing and stooping. 3. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, tables and shelves thoroughly in all public areas. Check under furniture and behind all stationary objects to remove trash from bins and all other debris. 4. Push and pull vacuum throughout entire public areas (Living Rooms, Sun Room, dining rooms, Lounge, meeting rooms) including, but not limited to carpeting, curtains and furniture. 5. Replenish and transport supplies; Transport all dirty towels and linens to the Laundry; Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in public bathrooms; Perform supply deliveries to rooms and various locations on Property; keep all housekeeping closets adequately stocked throughout the day, and in preparation for start of following shift. 6. Greet guests in hallways or in passing according to the 10/5 rule; ask if they are enjoying their stay. 7. Respond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as iron, safety instructions, assistance, direction and/or other information as requested. 8. Report all suspicious persons or actions, hazardous conditions, etc. to the immediate supervisor or management immediately. 9. Complete special projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by Lead House Person of Executive Housekeeper. 10. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, and interpret housekeeping manuals, training materials, technical information such as MSDS and instructions for using cleaning products; Ability use radio and/or telephone to communicate with staff and supervisors; 3. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions. 4. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems using common sense and logic; Ability to interpret and act on a variety of instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 5. OTHER SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS OR QUALIFICATIONS: Must be customer focused and maintain a positive attitude at all times. Always maintain a clean and presentable look and be willing to help customers or co-workers at any given time. Self motivated person who is able to remain focused even in extremely busy/stressful conditions; Must be able to be extremely detail oriented in work; Ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential. This position requires the use of company vehicle; the employee must comply with Motor Vehicle Record check to ensure clean driving record.
