The Athenaeum Club, one of Melbourne’s most prestigious establishments, is seeking a Casual Housekeeping Steward/Attendant to join our team.
You will be responsible for servicing the member areas, accommodation rooms and facilities ensuring they are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You will ensure the staff room and members gym are clean as well as assist in the laundry by sorting bed linen, restaurant linen and washing, drying and folding towels. Assisting the Maintenance Manager with small tasks will also form part of your job description.

The successful candidate will

• Be reliable, on time to work each shift and well presented
• Have excellent organisational and time management skills
• Have the ability to work flexible hours
• Work well in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
• Perform all duties with a keen eye for detail, accuracy and speed
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be in good health and physically fit to meet the needs of the role

This is a casual role with shifts and hours varying across 7 days. Flexibility is required with late notice for some shifts.
Previous experience in housekeeping in a 4 - 5 star hotel or club is desired.
