JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housebuilding Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of our housebuilding projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, cost control, and effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders. NO AGENCIES PLEASE.

SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of cost control methodologies and practices within the housebuilding industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred but experience in the role and knowledge is essential. • Prepare accurate cost estimates for housebuilding projects from inception to completion.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial plans.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and value variation works.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to provide financial advice and support.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules.
• Analyse costs and prepare quarterly CVR reports on project performance for stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
