We currently have an opportunity for Household & Kitchen Porter Personnel to join our team. This is a great opportunity for you to join one of the best Nursing Homes in the country.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain all assigned areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness, and in line with infection control policies, including infection cleaning and the cleaning and removal of all blood and bodily fluids.
  • Be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in our main kitchen
  • Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment; sanitizing work surfaces, floors, and walls.
  • Properly disposing of kitchen waste
  • Properly clean, supply and equip all assigned resident and staff areas.
  • Assist colleagues, residents and visitors with any special requirements.
  • Properly use and maintain all nursing home equipment and property.
  • Adhere to the scheduled shift times and breaks.
  • Ensure the correct use of cleaning agents on all surfaces and in line with the nursing home’s Health & Safety Policy.
  • Understanding and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards is essential.
  • Immediately report all maintenance faults, incidents, breakages to the supervisor/maintenance crew on duty.
  • Use, look after and return any keys in your possession safely and responsibly.
  • Hand in all lost property to the supervisor on duty.
  • Be fully versed on, and fully comply with, the nursing home policies and procedures, including infection control policy and the health & safety statement.
  • Attend training as required and provided.
  • Carry out any other duties as required. Please note that the duties of this position may change over time.
