JOB SUMMARY

We are a busy household with two young children (ages 1 and 3) looking for a dedicated and organized individual to manage household cleaning and organizational tasks, along with light personal assistant duties. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to develop and maintain a regular schedule for household tasks to alleviate the mental load of the family.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, organizing, or personal assistant roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and proactive.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for running errands
  • Work Schedule: Flexible schedule to be determined upon hire.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend tasks as needed (preparing for a party etc.).
  • Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping Duties:
  • Laundry: Regularly wash, dry, and fold laundry; put laundry away in appropriate rooms/closets; organize children’s clothing based on fit, seasons, and size.
  • Clothing Management: Sort through outgrown children’s clothes, hang up and organize new clothes, and ensure closets and dressers are tidy and practical.
  • Toy Organization: Regularly sort through toys, organizing and purging items (broken, missing pieces, or outgrown).
  • Pantry & Household Organization: Regularly inventory pantry items, keep pantry organized, and create shopping lists for needed groceries or household items. Organize kitchen drawers, linen closets, and other storage areas.
  • Linen Management: Wash and store towels, blankets, and linens, ensuring they are neatly put away.
  • Watering Plants: Regular care for household and outdoor plants/garden, ensuring they are well-watered and healthy.
  • General Tidying and Maintenance: Perform routine tidying and light maintenance of the house, ensuring common areas, rooms, and storage spaces remain organized and clean.
  • Personal Assistant Duties: Pick up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, and other household errands as needed.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain a schedule for household tasks, alleviating the mental load for the family by managing and keeping track of weekly and monthly tasks.
