POSITION PURPOSE Under supervision, keeps clinic and hospital buildings and grounds in a clean, neat, and orderly condition; launders hospital linens and clothing; performs minor building maintenance work; and performs other job-related work as needed. Cleans offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways, hospital rooms and wards, dry mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using vacuum cleaners and powered floor scrubbers and buffers. 2. Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture 3. Empties waste baskets 4. Washes walls, windows, and blinds 5. Collects soiled linen and places at pickup point 6. Receives and delivers clean linen 7. Keeps rest rooms in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition 8. Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls 9. Cleans mirrors, sink and water fountains 10. Dusts ledges and woodwork 11. Removes dirt and greasy film from surfaces 12. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels and soap 13. Notes condition of rest room and reports water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance 14. Keeps an adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment 15. Gathers and disposes of trash and waste 16. Washes door frames, lighting vents, ceiling fixtures and partitions using ladders 17. Removes stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions 18. Cleans medical treatment areas according to established procedures and observing aseptic techniques 19. Cleans isolation areas according to correct procedures 20. Uses specified cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting agents 21. Retrieves and returns cart of supplies and equipment 22. Cleans and maintains equipment used in performance of duties, changing brushes, accessories, and stores properly 23. Maintains linen supplies in each area including inventory, restocking, and cleaning area 24. Performs special clean and disinfectant procedures under direction of nursing staff. EDUCATION CERTIFICATION High school diploma or equivalent.  EXPERIENCE No Experience Required Bilingual is a plus Pre-Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and health clearance—conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been made.
