Housekeeper
About the role
As a Housekeeper you will be working in our student accommodation, providing an outstanding experience for our students by delivering high quality housekeeping and excellent customer service.
You`ll play a key part in a fun and friendly team to make sure our students always feel at home.
Hours – 40 Hours per week, 8am to 5pm. Some weekend working required during our busy moving out and moving in periods.

Responsibilities

  • Deep/sparkle cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms during void periods during student bookings for our short stay bookings
  • Working with our contractor cleaners when needed and assist the site team with carrying out quality checks on the contract cleaners
  • Assist with stock inventories and compliance with COSHH Regulations
  • Keeping entrances, hallways, lifts, common rooms, and outdoor areas clean and tidy on a daily basis.
  • Daily cleaning of laundry rooms including wiping down all washers and dryers and cleaning out the lint filters.
  • Assist with any grounds maintenance to keep the exterior of the property in good visual appearance
  • Ensure all shared kitchens are cleaned weekly and any rubbish removed
  • Carry out weekly flushing on all vacant rooms & kitchens
  • Keeping all offices, WC’s, staff kitchens in a clean and tidy condition
  • Providing a warm and accommodating service for our customers
  • Logging maintenance issues to help keep our properties safe and secure
  • Assist with move out inspections as directed by the Management Team
  • Assist with room inventories and boxing of student’s belongings at the end of the academic letting period
  • Complying with all Health and Safety requirements as directed by the business including all COSHH regulations.
  • Carry out any additional duties as required
  • Some weekend working will be required at key times during the year which are mandatory for all staff.

About You
· Have a great attention to detail and will take pride in delivering high quality housekeeping
· Adaptable to change at short notice
· Be hardworking and willing to get stuck in - some students are cleaner than others!
· Be a friendly face around the property, happy to chat to our students and answer their questions
· A positive attitude and able to work as part of a team
· Have worked in a similar role and have a good understanding of H&S and COSHH Regulations
· Can speak English fluently.
