Description

LOCATION: CHERTSEY

CHD Living is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeepers to support our service users at our care home in Chertsey.
Established in 1984, we are a family-owned group of care services in Surrey and South London.
Do you like to keep things in tip-top shape? If so, you may be perfectly suited to our new housekeeper role.
Our residents are our top priority, so it’s no surprise that we want to ensure their environment is clean, safe and comfortable at all times.
Good teamwork is essential, as despite working off your own initiative, you’ll be part of a team of like-minded individuals who ensure the surroundings are kept spick and span. You’ll achieve this by keeping our bathrooms, toilets, communal areas, flooring, furniture and fittings squeaky clean, alongside ensuring bins are emptied correctly.
Organisation skills are a must, as you’ll have to keep tabs on items such as toiletries, soaps, cleaning products and towels, restocking as and when required.
Other responsibilities will include an understanding of how to store cleaning chemicals correctly, infection control and maintaining health and safety protocol. But don’t worry - as full training will be provided.

Your Role:

- - Cleaning all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpet and equipment together with corridors and public areas. This may include the following to be done on a daily or weekly basis as advised by the Service Manager or the Person-in-Charge:
- - Emptying waste bins, dusting required areas based on daily or weekly clean
- - Vacuuming throughout and mopping required areas
- - Cleaning lavatories, bathroom/shower/wet rooms and pipe works
- - Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels, etc. as and when required
- - Spot cleaning and shampooing of floorings as and when required
- - To inform the person-in-charge of any stock that requires to be replenished
- - You will be responsible for ensuring the home is clean, tidy and hygienic, with the highest standards of cleanliness in the service users’ own rooms.
