OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our Care Home team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in The Care Home This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. A background in commercial cleaning will be advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in care home cleaning or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A willingness to learn new skills; experience as a cook would be an advantage but is not required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning of residents rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Dust, vacuum, and mop floors; clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces; and sanitise bathrooms.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies are used efficiently and stored correctly.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to residents requests or concerns in a friendly manner.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
