HOUSEKEEPER/CLEANER – THE ROLE

Reporting to the Contract Supervisor & working in a small team, the Housekeeper/Cleaner role is to carry out a variety of cleaning duties to ensure that all areas of the site are maintained to stringent hygiene standards.

• Afternoon Shift Vacancy: 37.5 hours per week (14.00 hours - 22.00 hours)

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Office & corridor cleaning;
• Floor cleaning (sweeping, mopping, buffing, carpet cleaning);
• Toilet & washroom cleaning;
• Cleanroom cleaning (fully gowned in protective cleanroom clothing);
• Reporting on anything in need of repair or replacement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE TO:

• Perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures.
• Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards.
• Be responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client’s environmental systems.
• Be responsible for alerting the Contract Supervisor to any issues that may impact upon the integrity of the cleaning.
• Participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.
