We are only reviewing applicants who live within Nipigon or the surrounding area of Ontario. There are no work visas available for this position.

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for cleaning a variety of spaces within a 9 room motel. Our team-members will be expected to clean restrooms, bedrooms and common areas in an efficient and timely manner. We are looking for individuals who can pay close attention to detail.
This is a day shift only that starts as guests leave to ready the rooms for incoming reservations. There is a 9 room maximum per day with a total of 15 beds and 3 small kitchenettes. Check out is officially 10:30 am so every room can be accessed by 10:30 but usually guests leave early so housekeeping tends to arrive around 9:00 am to start their day. We are flexible to your needs as long as rooms are completed by the mid afternoon for check in. We often jump in to help if the work is behind or extremely heavy for the day.
We are looking for someone who truly wants to work with us and wants the hours as a part of a 2/3 person housekeeping team. It is usually 1 housekeeper per day so this is not typically a 40 hour work week - although, there may be opportunities for helping in other aspects of the business for the right candidate if they are interested in front desk work etc.
Pay is fair and includes an increase after a 90-day probationary period. Please contact us to discuss.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be physically able to operate cleaning equipment including a vacuum
  • Make beds
  • Occasionally wash and fold laundry (towels and linens)
  • Wash a small amount of dishes
  • Handle restocking rooms of toiletries and amenities such as coffee etc.
  • Report hazardous issues to management
  • Notice and report repair needs to management
  • Memorize cleaning plans
  • Clean soiled areas
  • Understand the impact of cleanliness on service expectations in hospitality

Pay: $19.50-$20.00 per hour
