Responsibilities

PURPOSE

The purpose of a housekeeper is to create a clean, comfortable and distraction free
accommodation environment for wedding and event guests as well as cleaning of
general spaces. Their attention to detail and efficiency contribute to maintaining high
standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the venue spaces they care for.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Reporting to the head housekeeper, the direct senior, and the operations manager
in their absence.
2. Ensuring that one is fully trained and efficient in all housekeeping functions and
has a comprehensive understanding of all company policies applicable to their
role.
3. Adhering to daily cleaning schedules to ensure rooms and venue spaces are
prepared on time for guests.
4. Alerting head housekeeper of low stock levels for cleaning supplies and linen.
5. Alerting head housekeeper of department equipment or venue repairs and
maintenance issues.
6. Assisting new housekeepers with training as assigned by head housekeeper.
7. Cleaning venue spaces such as rooms, reception, dining rooms, and guest spaces,
ceremony areas, and communal bathrooms.
8. Following regular company cleaning practises and procedures.
9. Adhering to all Environmental Health Officer (EHO) and Control of Substance
Hazardous to Health (COSHH) guidelines and keeping up to date administration
records and checks as proof.
10. Maintaining orderly department storage spaces such as supplies, equipment, and
linen.
11. As required, reporting accurate individual statistics on time.
12. As required, attending daily or weekly staff meetings.
