JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a conscientious and proactive Housekeeper to join our team. Unlike a standard cleaner, the Housekeeper role involves a higher level of responsibility, including routine and deep cleaning, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring the practice environment supports patient care and staff wellbeing.

• Carrying out routine cleaning tasks such as cleaning and sanitising consultation rooms, waiting areas, offices, toilets, and communal spaces
• Performing deep cleaning tasks regularly, including high-touch surfaces, vents, carpets, upholstery, and equipment areas to minimise infection risks
• Managing the safe disposal of all waste, including clinical and hazardous waste, in line with health and safety regulations
• Monitoring and replenishing supplies such as soap, hand sanitiser, paper towels, and cleaning materials
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment
• Supporting the implementation and adherence to infection control and health & safety policies
• Maintaining accurate cleaning logs and records as required
• Acting as a key point of contact for cleaning-related concerns within the practice
• Other tasks as reasonably requested by management
