Description Cushing Academy, a culturally diverse residential boarding school serving 9th grade through post-grad in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, seeks a housekeeper who will provide excellent and dedicated service, maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for those who work and live on campus. Responsible for conducting all aspects of cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and washing floors; cleaning all interior furnishings, including upholstery; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and bathrooms; vacuuming and washing carpets; removing trash/recycling. At the end of each school year and summer session, complete the interior cleaning of student and common areas. May be required to work weekends, nights, and special functions as assigned. Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, operate floor machines, and climb and work off a ladder. Must be able to carry loads up and down multiple flights of stairs. Must be able to bend, squat, lift, and turn without restriction. This is a full-time day shift position, 6 am – 2 pm. This position is based on a minimum of a forty-hour workweek unless stated otherwise upon employment.
Responsibilities
The housekeeper is responsible for providing dedicated service to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment across the campus, including student and common areas.
