Description Under the direct supervision of the Director of Construction, Building Operations, and Properties and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning and proper upkeep of the Diocese of Beaumont Pastoral Center and the Lamar University Catholic Center. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Mop all floor areas in lobby, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and café area with disinfectants. • Wipe down all surfaces in café. • Empty and throw out all trash and replace liners in all offices, conference rooms, and café area. • Dust as needed all office furniture and surfaces • Sanitize all commodes, urinals, and handrails with disinfectants • Sanitize all walls. • Polish all mirrors. • Wipe clean baseboards, doors, door frames, and light switches as needed. • Restock soap, toilet paper, and paper towels as needed. • Vacuum all offices. • Wipe clean outside of cabinets. • Wipe clean and dust office windowsills. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a current valid Texas Driver’s License and must attend the Safe Environment Training and earn a certificate.
