Description Job title Housekeeper/EVS Maintenance Technician Reports to Director of Environmental Services Status Full Time (Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm) SAAF Mission The San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF) seeks to reduce HIV transmission, provide support and treatment for those living with HIV, reduce stigma and support positive sexual health. SAAF provides sexual health education, STI and HIV testing and counseling, medical care, case management, housing and meal support, mental health services and referrals for dental health. Access to care and early intervention have a significant impact on the health and well-being of people living with HIV. Position The Housekeeper/EVS Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the housekeeping and cleanliness of the facility and assisting with facility maintenance and repairs. This position demands a high level of cultural competency of the unique needs of the LGBTQIA++ community, communities of color, and other marginalized populations. Duties and responsibilities Maintain the interior upkeep and cleanliness of the facility Maintain daily work cleaning schedule Use variety of tools for basic exterior maintenance and upkeep Keep up inventory of janitorial supplies Perform general environmental services and maintenance Assist with facility repairs Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications Below are the minimum qualifications that are necessary for the position. Qualifications include: At least one to three years of medical housekeeping and maintenance (hospital, nursing home, etc.) experience preferred. High School diploma required. Working conditions This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard housekeeping supplies and maintenance tools. Early morning, evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to lift; stand; walk; sit; and bend. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. SAAF works daily with clients who may be immunocompromised. While evidence of COVID-19 vaccination is not required, employee may be asked to wear a mask while in the office.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper/EVS Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining the interior cleanliness of the facility according to a daily work schedule. This role also involves assisting with general environmental services, facility maintenance, and basic exterior upkeep.
