Description The Housekeeper cleans and services all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital. They arrange furniture in an organized and orderly fashion. They keep all equipment and storage areas clean and organized. Has no access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities. Shift: Week 1: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM Week 2: Sun, Tues, Wed, Thurs, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM Requirements Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions. Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Employees receive on-the-job training. Must know how to use cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner) Ability to clean blood and body fluids. Ability to clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors. Must be able to replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly. Physical Requirements Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and servicing all hospital buildings and areas, including furniture and storage. They ensure all environments are organized and maintain cleanliness standards across the facility.
