About The Role As a Housekeeper in our Housekeeping department, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests, visitors, and staff. This hourly, full-time position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and customer service. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure rooms, common areas, and facilities are maintained to organizational and regulatory standards, while responding promptly and professionally to cleaning and housekeeping requests. What You'll Do Clean and sanitize guest rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas according to established standards and checklists Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces in assigned areas Change linens, make beds, and replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest or staff supplies Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g., doorknobs, light switches, phones, railings) on a regular schedule Inspect rooms and areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and safety hazards, reporting any concerns promptly Use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies safely, following all safety and handling guidelines Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and carts in a safe and efficient manner Follow department procedures for lost and found items, key control, and access to secured areas Respond to cleaning or housekeeping requests from guests, visitors, or staff in a courteous and timely manner Restock housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas to ensure adequate supplies for each shift Adhere to all infection control, safety, and security policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize tasks and ensure daily workload is completed Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required to maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and best practices Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work a full-time hourly schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and stoop for extended periods of time Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30–50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Willingness to work with cleaning chemicals and follow all safety and handling procedures Good interpersonal and customer service skills, with a professional and respectful demeanor at all times Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of guests, visitors, and staff Eligibility to work in the country of employment and ability to pass any required background checks or health screenings
