About the Role: The Housekeeper at Residence Inn KOP, plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff within the durable goods manufacturing setting. This position ensures that all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and organized according to established standards, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and positive guest experience. The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dusting, and waste removal, while adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential to successfully meet daily cleaning schedules and quality expectations. Minimum Qualifications: * Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and follow instructions accurately. * Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching overhead and handling cleaning equipment. * Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks. * Basic mathematical skills to measure and mix cleaning solutions and maintain supply inventory. * Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not mandatory. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification or training in cleaning techniques, safety procedures, or use of cleaning equipment. * Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly within durable goods manufacturing. * Knowledge of environmentally friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning practices. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed. * Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and team members. Responsibilities: * Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in guest rooms, common areas, and workspaces. * Maintain floor care by using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents to ensure all flooring is clean, safe, and free of hazards. * Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily cleaning checklists and special cleaning projects as assigned by supervisors. * Manage waste disposal by collecting trash and recyclables and ensuring proper segregation and removal according to company guidelines. * Reach overhead and other difficult-to-access areas to clean vents, light fixtures, and other surfaces, ensuring comprehensive cleanliness. * Use basic mathematical computations to measure cleaning solutions and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies. * Communicate effectively in English to understand instructions, report issues, and coordinate with team members and management.
