Description

Responsible maintaining cleanliness standards for assigned areas including maintaining hard floor surfaces and carpet surfaces. Follows hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for providing a safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Follows department cleaning and floor care maintenance procedures for assigned areas. Maintains hard floor and carpet surfaces: strips, cleans, waxes and buffs floors; vacuums and cleans carpets, in some cases operates power driven equipment such as floor scrubber and buffer and maintains such equipment. Cleans stairwells, cleans corridors and elevators. Cleans furniture. Disposes of trash, biomedical and solid waste materials to appropriate disposal areas. Moves furniture and equipment as requested. Alerts supervisor of potential problems and safety hazards. Performs other related duties as required and directed. #LI-WE1 Required: Preferred: · High school diploma or GED. · One-year of floor care maintenance experience. · One-year experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
