Sous Chef/Housekeeper : Station House Nursery School Limited
Location : Burscough, Ormskirk
Hours : 1.00pm - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (no evenings & weekends).
Station House Nursery School Limited are looking to employ a Nursery Housekeeper / Junior Cook to join our enthusiastic team of professionals caring for children from 6 weeks to 4 years.
The ideal candidate will :-
. Be able to work using their own initiative as well as being part of the team.
. Be well organized and presentable.
· Demonstrate or be willing to develop a good understanding of food safety standards requirements.
· Food Hygiene level 2 qualification is desirable but full training can be provided.
· Successful applicants are required to have a DBS, which will be funded by the nursery.

. Ensuring that appropriate clothing is worn at all times.
· Helping to prepare and cook a healthy balanced diet for all children aged 0-4 years old.
· Making sure all meals with dietary requirements/allergens are clearly communicated to the teams in our rooms.
· Complying with Food Safety regulations and ensuring that all food prepared on the premises is safe and free of contamination.
· Abiding by guidelines set out in Safer Food Better Business.
· Carrying out all duties according to health and safety legislation. Complying with the company’s procedures relating to COSHH, including having an understanding of the principals of storing and using cleaning materials safety and taking precautions to protect yourself and others.
· Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and food hygiene.
. Assisting in cleaning the kitchen after each service.
. Daily cleaning of nursery communal areas.
. Ensuring that daily laundry is washed and dried by the end of your shift
· Adhere to the settings policies and procedures.
. Providing occasional cover for the Nursery Chef
· Any other duties appropriate as directed by the Nursery Chef / Manager.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
