Kirktonholme childcare Coatbridge are looking for a housekeeper to join the team, to allow us to keep our building in great condition and provide a safe environment for our children. Our mission is to create inspiring worlds full of awe and wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in.
Our housekeepers are able to work independently to manage the tasks that ensure a safe and efficient setting whilst having the skills and flexibility to follow Kirktonholme policies and checklists.
The hours for this role are around 5:45pm - 8:45pm

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Carry out domestic duties to include the cleaning of all areas in the setting as required
  • Follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules as agreed with the manager
  • Assist with the washing and drying of bedding, spare clothing and other fabric resources
  • Use and store cleaning products safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines
  • Maintain a tidy, safe and well-organised storage area for cleaning products, ensuring all are inaccessible to children
  • Ensure the outside areas of the setting are tidy and clean
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming office/ reception area for staff, parents and visitors
  • Understand and use appropriate signage to indicate wet floors and other cleaning hazards
  • Contribute to and follow appropriate risk assessments
  • Order and maintain cleaning equipment and products with adherence to the setting budget
  • Undertake any other reasonable cleaning tasks as directed by the manager

You will need:

  • Experience of cleaning commercial premises
  • A positive approach to further professional development
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety including COSHH

Job Type: Part-time
