About the Role ( Housekeeper/Laundry and Food Services ) Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, home like living environment for residents and work environment for staff. When engaged in cleaning or laundry you are responsible to meet safety and infection control requirements and customer satisfaction. Food Services - You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do. Here’s what a typical day involves: Housekeeper Routine and project cleaning tasks according to established, routine and/or project cleaning schedules Cleaning tasks include mopping and vacuuming floors, damp dusting, waste management, restocking of supplies, collection of soiled linen and clothing as required. Program tasks include carpet shampooing and steam cleaning of curtains. Use of mechanical cleaning equipment including carpet shampoo machines, floor scrubbers and steam units. Completion of cleaning tasks according to infection control and occupational health and safety requirements including the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals. Recording of the completion of cleaning schedule tasks.• Adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap and other cleaning supplies must be available for resident and staff use. Food Services Prepping food and drink Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one Changing up the menu. Responsibilities
