Description Housekeeper Per Diem Positions Available Who We Are: Notre Dame Health Care Center, deeply rooted in the heritage the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, is committed to the physical, spiritual, and emotional care of our residents. Located off the shores of Lake Quinsigamond within the woods of the Worcester Land Trust, we seek candidates committed to providing high quality and compassionate care to our residents within our skilled nursing healthcare facility. Position Summary: Provide general housekeeping and maintenance duties within our nursing home during the daytime hours. Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans Cleaning Resident and employee areas and bathrooms Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement. Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task. Requirements High school diploma/GED preferred. 2-5 years housekeeping experience preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to demonstrate understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Experience with seniors and dementia is preferred but not required. Work Hours and Schedule Expectations: Employee within full time position expected to work every other weekend and some paid holidays. Position may require employee to occasionally work earlier or later than their regularly scheduled hours/shift to ensure facility is properly cleaned. Position requires employee to work all shifts scheduled regardless of weather conditions. Position requires employee to be additionally trained as a Housekeeper in Assisted Living Building and be ready, willing, and able to work as such depending upon facility staffing needs. Per Diem
