Housekeeper (Part-Time) – The Maples, Hammond, LA POSITION SUMMARY  The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors at The Maples in Hammond, LA.  This position plays an important role in supporting the overall atmosphere of care and professionalism within the facility. QUALIFICATIONS * Ability to read and write. * Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, stretching, standing for extended periods, and lifting moderate to heavy loads (up to 50 lbs). * Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred but not required. * Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health and its holdings. 2. Uphold and embody Beacon Behavioral Health’s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service. 3. Contribute to a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment that promotes the well-being of patients and staff. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Vacuum, mop, and dust all areas per established schedule using approved cleaners. * Clean kitchen and all restrooms per established schedule using approved cleaners. * Stock supplies in the kitchen, restrooms, and other assigned areas. * Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors regularly to maintain a professional appearance. * Empty and clean trash cans daily; dispose of waste according to facility policy. * Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and offices. * Pick up litter from the parking lot and sweep the front entrance daily. * Rake leaves and maintain exterior walkways and entrance areas as needed. * Notify supervisor of any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or supply shortages. * Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures. * Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
