Description

WE ARE OUTSTANDING, YOU CAN BE TOO.

We are looking for two friendly and positive Housekeepers to join our thriving Domestic team here at Portland Charity. We are recruiting for two part time posts (1 X 30 hours post and 1 X 25 hours post).
To be successful in this role, you will be hardworking, adaptable, and take pride in your work. You will work effectively within a small team of housekeepers, as well as working on your own and using initiative and problem-solving skills.
On a daily basis, you will come into contact with Portland Charity staff, learners and citizens. You will work across all areas of the college, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and reducing the spread of infection in accordance with relevant legislation.
This role will involve working with COSHH substances and manual handling. It is an active role which involves being on your feet and moving around the college campus throughout the day. You will have a minimum level of basic health and safety knowledge and a good level of written communication skills to support you within your role. You will hold a vocational qualification in Domestic Services or be willing to work towards this within a required timescale.
Maintaining cleanliness of residential accommodation is a key part of this role. You also will provide support for learning facilities and other designated areas of the college by providing and promoting a clean and safe environment for all.
You can see more about what we do at Portland Charity by looking at the Who We Are and Choose Your Future pages on our website https://www.portland.ac.uk/
