  • Prior experience in a cleaning role within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Availability to work morning / afternoon / evening and weekend shifts required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required.
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience with hazard identification.
  • Understanding of hygiene principles.
  • Flexible to work a rotating roster with a variety of shifts available [Desirable].

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Environmental Services Assistant (Housekeeper) is responsible in providing a safe, clean Ward/Unit environment in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
Under direction and supervision of Housekeeping Team Leaders, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational support of the hospital. You will be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment within the Noosa Private Hospital.

JOINING OUR TEAM, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Highest standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres.
  • Ensure all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas.
  • Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times.
  • Adhere to all infection control guidelines and principles.
