The housekeeper will promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests. The Housekeeper must understand his/her role as brand ambassador and provide positive brand experiences to all customers.

Responsibilities
  • Clean a set amount of guest bedrooms / public areas according to Sandman Hotels standards
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures
  • Responds to guests and staff inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Ensures all lost property items is handled in line with company policy.
  • Ensures all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk
  • Takes personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform Laundry tasks when necessary, including collect, sort, transport laundry at the beginning of each shift.
  • Stock linen supply room with clean linens for use for next day.
  • Perform Linen Porter duties if required.Perform additional tasks as directed by Housekeeping supervisor.
