Job Introduction

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Dispose of domestic and clinical waste following infection control and waste policies.
  • Replenish consumables (e.g. paper towels, toilet rolls, soap).
  • Safely store and use cleaning equipment/materials in compliance with COSHH.
  • Use only approved cleaning tools and materials as trained.
  • Perform cleaning duties safely using appropriate PPE and hazard signs.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to provide patient-focused service.
  • Report care and facility issues to a supervisor or management.
  • Respond to ad hoc cleaning requests under supervision, following infection control guidance.
  • Complete tasks within the allocated time frames.
  • Collect and move refuse.
  • Clean sanitary areas, floors, surfaces, furniture, and fittings.
  • Change curtains.
  • Wash dishes.
  • Clean beds.
  • Operate electrical cleaning equipment.
  • Identify and report any training or development needs.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties within the role’s scope.
