Overview Perform routine housekeeping duties to include daily cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, classrooms and corridors in accordance with standard operating procedures of the department. Prepares patient rooms for occupancy; demonstrates understanding of “Epic” protocol. Performs job tasks and duties as outlined in the job description/task list while in a secured area. Nursing and Department specific decides who is granted access to rooms that contain medications/supplies Maintains neat appearance of floor surface which include: mopping of hard surface floors, vacuuming of carpets Maintains neat appearance of floor surface which include: mopping of hard surface floors, vacuuming of carpets. Transports waste to the designated trash chute or soiled utility location. Move furniture and set up meeting rooms. Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established procedures to achieve standards for quality. Properly mixes chemicals observing safety precautions and able to follow written instructions. Demonstrates ability to operate all floor maintenance equipment. Demonstrates ability to follow floor refinishing procedures. Ability to perform all EVS assigned tasks with limited supervision or instruction. Expected to attend and pass annual technical training. Transports waste to the designated trash chute or soiled utility location Abides by all UnityPoint Health- Des Moines and departmental policies. Reports repair needs of equipment, furniture, fixtures and the facility. Maintains cleanliness of the equipment.
