The Cary Arms is located on the spectacular South Devon coast in Babbacombe Bay. Privately owned by a high-profile family. The inn was opened in April 2009 after a complete restoration. Attracting guests and PR from around the world.
As a Housekeeper, you will be essential in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Reporting to the housekeeping supervisor. You will be expected to uphold high standards of cleanliness. We expect you to demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction, contributing positively to our team’s overall success in delivering exceptional service.
In return you will receive the benefit of working alongside a seasoned and close knit Housekeeping team that deliver the highest quality of customer service and award winning room standards. You will have the pleasure of interacting with our wonderful guests and to be part of a great and personable team in a very special location.
The role is currently a minimum of 16 hours per week, however, there may be opportunity for this to be extended depending on the business levels and needs.

  • Previous hotel experience in a housekeeping role
  • Background in hospitality and customer service
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and common areas in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly.
  • Utilize time management skills to efficiently complete cleaning tasks within designated time frames.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a welcoming environment for all guests.
  • Perform janitorial duties as needed, ensuring all areas are sanitized and well-maintained.
